Coming up this weekend, we have not one but two full bouts taking place here in Ottawa.
The first bout is Summer Slam hosted by Ottawa Roller Derby, as they take on Kingston Derby Girls. The event takes place Saturday at Brewer Arena, 210 Hopewell Avenue, across the street from Carleton University.
It starts at 7pm, and there will be a live halftime show put on by Ottawa's own Polymorphines.
Tickets are $10 in advance, or $12 at the door, and children under 12 get in for free.

The other event also takes place this Saturday at 7pm, and sees the Capital City Derby Dolls' Dolly Rogers face off against the West End Waywards Rollerskating Association's Rollergettes.
The bout will be played at Jack Charron Arena, 10 McKitrick Drive, in Kanata.
Tickets are $10 in advance, or $12 at the door,
Children under 12 get in for half price.
