The Capital City Derby Dolls are launching their fall Fresh Meat drive with a series of Open House events over the month of August. Each Friday from 6 to 8, starting next week August 12th, they invite registered skaters to join them at Belltown Dome, 2915 Haughton Ave in Nepean. Members of the Derby Doll's Coaching Comittee will be on hand to show you the basics of skating and safety.
For those who do not have access to quad-skates, 30 pairs are available, but you do need to bring along a helmet, and some protective gear (elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards are ideal).
