Ottawa Derbycast is back from a mini-hiatus, and so is Roller Derby here in the Nation's Capital. Its been a month since our last update, and not a whole lot has gone on here in Ottawa. That all changes this weekend, though, as the Limston CrusHers return to Ottawa to exhibit against their good friends, the Capital City Derby Dolls.
The Dolls are putting on an exhibition game at the Belltown Dome (2915 Haughton Avenue) this Saturday, Sept 24th, to help the Ottawa Food Bank. This match will see a lot of the Doll's vetrans rested to allow some of the newer players a chance to take part in a competitive match. As this is not a full bout, but only an exhibition, the venue will only have suicide seating available (so bring along a foldy chair or a nice, comfy blanket), and will not be a licenced event. This also means it will not be a full priced event either, as tickets are only $5 if you bring along a non-perishable donation to the Food Bank, or $7 if you dont.
For more information, you can check out the event's Facebook page.
Also, the podcast will be back with a 2 part series to cover all of the interviews from August's bouts. Look for both parts to be released by next weekend.
