There are two events coming up this weekend for those obsessed with Roller Derby (as you all should be).
First off, the Rideau Valley Roller Girls are putting on another double header Saturday, July 23rd, against the Tri-City Roller Girls. The opening bout pits the Riot Squad against the Venus Fly Tramps, and the Slaughter Daughters will then face off against the Vicious Dishes.
The event takes place at the Jack Charron arena, 10 McKitrick Drive with doors opening at 6 pm. Tickets are $18 at the door, with kids 10 and under getting in for free. Advanced tickets may still be available at the designated vendors. Please refer to the event's Facebook page for details
Ottawa Derbycast will be at the bout, preparing for a post match writeup. If you happen to run into our host, the Emir of Istanbul, dont be afraid to come up and say hi (and tell him how much you love the blog/podcast).
Also, the ladies from Ottawa Roller Derby travel down to Oshawa to take on the Durham Region Roller Derby. We dont have any further details, as neither the ORD nor DRRD websites or Facebook sites have bout information.
