Ottawa's Tyros Travel to Toronto

Quick update on the information given below:
We have just received the latest schedule for the tournament. First off, it appears that ORD are not skating with Queen City, as was displayed in a previous version. Instead, they are skating with players from Timmins Roller Derby.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Its time for 2Fresh 2Furious, the latest installment of the Fresh and Furious tournament hosted by the GTA Rollergirls. This is a beginner's tournament, only open to skaters who are in their Fresh Meat year of Roller Derby.

The festivities will run from 11 am to 10pm Saturday, with a total of 28 (20 minute) mini-bouts and take place at Ted Reeve Arena, 175 Main Street, Toronto, Ontario

Ottawa is sending two teams down to take part in the tournament.
- The first is made up of the newest skaters from Ottawa Roller derby, who have been teamed up with skaters from Queen City Roller Girls to make a full 14 person squad.
- The second team is also a mixed team, made up of 7 skaters from the Capital City Derby Dolls and 7 from Kingston's Limestone CrusHers.

Ottawa Derbycast will be travelling down to Toronto for the tournament, and will recording interviews for the upcoming podcast, which should be released around Wednesday. As there are 2 rinks, and 2 bouts being run simultaneously, we probably will not be able to get comments from every team, for every bout, but the two Ottawa teams and their opponents will definitely be covered.

Feel free to follow @ottawaderbycast on Twitter.com for the latest updates.
